The Jackie Kent Brockington, Jr. Memorial Scholarship
The Jackie Kent Brockington, Jr. Memorial Scholarship was established to help deserving high school students achieve their dreams of continuing their education. The scholarship is awarded to a deserving graduating high school student, matriculating to an accredited four-year college or university seeking their first collegiate degree. The recipient must demonstrate a record of academic excellence and service to their community.
The award is named for Jackie K. Brockington, Jr. – an educator, mentor, administrator, dear friend, and Brother who committed his life to making higher education accessible and encouraging young men of diverse backgrounds to pursue careers in education. A member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and Call Me Mister, Jackie embodied the spirit of a servant-leader in his community.
